Locations

Use the Location Management page to manage and add Locations you wish to target. Click the Add Location button in the top-right corner to add a new Location.

Use Tags

We recommend creating Tags for your location data to improve Campaign Management and Analytics.

Add location

Enter a name for your Location and its address.

Catalyst allows you to dynamically use all Location data within Campaigns as Data Macros . With macros you can geo-personalize notification copy with Location data from hundreds of Locations in a single Campaign.

Address Geocoding

Use the orange geocode button next to the address input to resolve the location address to Latitude and Longitude information

Update Location

You can change the Location's Longitude and Latitude for any address by moving the marker on map view. This marker then represents the center of the deployed geofences.

If Catalyst cannot find the address or finds an incorrect location, please specify the complete address including city and country information

Define Venue Boundaries

If this location represents a Venue, you can also define the boundaries of the Venue. This boundary allows for more accurate detection of the Venue location and is required to detect if the user is currently inside it.

  • Click on the Polygon button (in top-left corner) to activate the control
  • Click on the corners of the location, moving clock-wise to draw the boundaries
  • You can revert the last step by clicking on the un-do button
  • You can adjust the boundaries by dragging the lines from the anchor points
  • Use the Delete button to remove the boundaries

This is an Enterprise feature. Please contact your account manager to get access to this feature.

Update configuration

Click the card button (middle) to open the Location Configuration window:

  • Use it to assign Tags to the Locations so that they are easily selectable within a Campaign
  • You can quickly identify the Beacons installed at this location from Beacons tab

Share location access

Click the Manage Access icon to open the Location Access window:

  • Select a Restricted User account to share location access with
  • Locations can only be shared with one Restricted User at a time

If you delete a Location, all associated information including any Geofence and Beacon installation information is immediately removed and cannot be recovered.
